![]() ![]() The images are predominantly in full colour throughout and combined with high quality labelling and an authoritative text, provide a wealth of information. This is a significant improvement because in previous editions, some of these looked a little dated, particularly the clinical images of the oral cavity in the first chapter. There is a final chapter covering ageing and archaeological applications of tooth structure, which I have not seen before and many of the images running throughout the text are new. The book follows the same essential format as previous versions, covering regional anatomy of the oral tissues, dental anatomy, and craniofacial embryology, but it has been significantly updated. Students can rest assured that it still represents the defining piece of work on this subject. It will therefore come as no surprise to hear me say that this updated version, published 9 years since the fourth edition is likely to continue this trend for at least the next decade. ![]() This book has been the standard text for students of dental anatomy in the United Kingdom for the last 40 years.
